The Hague, June 4, 2018 – On Thursday 7th June, the Alpe d’HuZes event will take place for the thirteenth time. Hudson Cybertec, a supplier-independent cyber security solution provider, is a proud sponsor of this event, by sponsoring the team Cyber Fighters 2018.
With the motto ‘quitting is not an option’ this year over 4500 participants will climb the legendary Alpe d’Huez by foot or bike, with a maximum of 6 successive climbs. This way, a total amount of over 150 million euro was already collected in the past years for the Alpe d’HuZes/Dutch Cancer Society.
On Wednesday 6th of June, 230 supporters and volunteers, who have other tasks during the next day, will climb the mountain together as well. Thursday 7th June, at 4:30hrs, the starting signal will mark the start of 1.538 runners and 3.005 cyclists climbing the Alpe d’Huez for a maximum of 6 times. Around 20:00hrs the last participants will cross the finish, after which the final amount will be announced.
